When I was a little girl I was so disappointed that my Mother was unable to find a doll for me that looked like me - African-American. As an adult I began searching for and collecting African-American Cloth Dolls along with other Ethnic Dolls during my travels throughout the USA and around the World.

After having accumulated a large collection of Cloth Dolls I decided to expand my collection to include Porcelain Dolls. Again, finding African -American and Ethnic dolls proved difficult! That's when I took my first dollmaking class - and the rest is history.

In making my one-of-a-kind dolls I buy the finest soft-fired greenware & bisque that has been poured in French Chocolate or a blend of French Chocolate and Flesh Tone slip to get the desired ethnic skin tone. The end result is a uniquely natural looking doll that has a beautiful soft finish. Each doll is then painstakingly china painted for an authentically accented and lifelike appearance.

Each creation is One-of-a-Kind with his/her own personality and outfit. The clothing design suggested when I purchase the greenware is never used but rather created from a person or occasion taken from my childhood or travels.
